The Manager, Product Data, Methods & Lifecycle (PDML) builds and leads the enterprise function responsible for how product data is created, governed, and executed across AWC. This role owns item master governance, methods data, and lifecycle control—ensuring that proposals, order management, supply chain, and ERP systems are all operating from accurate, complete, and scalable product data. By strengthening data discipline and standardizing processes, this role directly improves quote quality, execution readiness, and operational efficiency across the business. How you’ll make an impact: PDML Leadership & Operating Model Lead the Product Data, Methods & Lifecycle function and establish clear ownership, standards, and operating cadence Build and develop a high-performing specialist team across item stewardship, methods, and lifecycle governance Create structure, accountability, and measurable performance across data and process ownership Product Data Governance Establish and govern part taxonomy, naming standards, and required attributes Implement duplicate-prevention rules and data quality controls Own the process for item creation, updates, and ERP release readiness Methods & Execution Readiness Standardize routers, workcenters, and execution-supporting data across sites Ensure consistency in methods data to support repeatable, scalable operations Improve readiness of product data flowing into manufacturing and service execution Lifecycle Management Own lifecycle status control including active, limited-use, superseded, and obsolete parts Implement structured processes for obsolescence, replacement mapping, and inactive item cleanup Build discipline around controlled part growth and lifecycle transitions Quote-to-Order & Cross-Functional Alignment Partner with Proposals and Order Management to improve quote completeness, speed, and downstream execution Collaborate with Supply Chain to strengthen sourcing readiness and lead-time visibility Work with Engineering and IT to enable safe automation of BOMs and product data workflows Data Quality & Continuous Improvement Build scorecards, audit routines, and exception-management processes Improve data accuracy, governance discipline, and accountability over time Translate data improvements into measurable business outcomes like reduced rework and faster execution Skills you’ll need 7–12+ years of experience in product data, item master governance, methods, manufacturing data, or supply chain operations Strong understanding of ERP-driven item masters, BOMs, routings, and lifecycle management Experience building or improving governance processes in high-SKU, multi-site environments Proven leadership experience with the ability to drive accountability through standards and metrics Strong cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain, Engineering, Proposals, Operations, and IT Ability to balance strategic design with hands-on execution Here’s what will set you apart Experience in engineered-to-order or configure-to-order industrial environments Background in industrial distribution, process control, fluid handling, or automation products Track record improving quote-to-order handoffs and reducing data defects Experience managing lifecycle governance, obsolescence processes, and duplicate prevention Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, Infor M3, IFS, or Microsoft Dynamics The Rewards Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) Match Competitive Pay Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Employer Paid Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Career Development Opportunities About AWC As employee co-owners, we’re driven to do more than complete tasks—we build meaningful careers by challenging assumptions and continually raising the bar.
