Position Summary: The Manager, Procurement Buyer position is responsible for the end-to-end procurement process within areas of assigned areas of responsibility. This includes sourcing, negotiations, contract lifecycle management, cost savings initiatives, and purchase order management while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will provide key support of Ariba systems and processes as needed. About The Clearing House: The Clearing House (TCH) is a banking association and payments company that is owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. TCH owns and operates the core payments system infrastructure in the US and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by launching a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. TCH is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the US, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in US dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. TCH has provided critical services to the banking industry since 1853, and today, our core products facilitate services including Direct Deposit of payroll, bill payments, and check image exchange.

  • Execute procurement activities in supporting company goals and objectives, cost savings
  • Execute procurement activities within Ariba Contract and Procurement modules
  • Responsible for contract and purchase order lifecycle track and manage contracts, purchase orders, RFPs, RFQs, Supplier onboarding, etc.
  • Support negotiations of business terms in contracts, including pricing with vendors, to deliver greatest value to the Company
  • Identify potential vendors with knowledge of vendor utilization across departments and coordinate due diligence activities across the Company as needed.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams among business stakeholders, legal, information security, vendor risk management and finance functions
  • Ability to influence others as part of cross-functional teams
  • Adhere to company risk management/control framework
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 8-10 years of work experience in purchasing field
  • Experience executing end-to-end procurement activities sourcing, contract negotiation and execution, and purchase orders
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive cost savings
  • Effective communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Purchasing experience in financial services, technology, indirect materials and services
  • Ariba Contract and Procurement modules
  • MBA degree
  • Six Sigma training
  • Successful track record in a hybrid procurement model
