About The Position

Lead a team focusing on the execution of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's quality and service vision and strategies. Partner with Center and system leaders in providing data and analytics, evaluation and monitoring for safe, timely, effective, efficient, and patient-centered care. Manage a portfolio of quality projects and work collaboratively with clinical leaders and front-line staff for the purpose of improving clinical care and service processes and monitoring. Consult with campus and service line quality and service teams and committees to facilitate the identification of opportunities, improvement planning, and determination of appropriate measures of success.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • 5 years of experience in evaluation and analysis of healthcare data
  • 5 years of experience in quality measurement and improvement methodologies

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Management of large statistical data with proven analysis skills (e.g., clinical, operational, customer service)
  • Certification in facilitation, process improvement, project management, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
  • Coordinate and manage workflow to ensure optimal delivery of services, delegating activities as necessary.
  • Mentor team members to encourage personal and professional growth.
  • Encourage ongoing skill development by providing opportunities for continued education.
  • Communicate and inform team of decisions, changes, and other relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of the data, inputs, and outputs for the Center's reporting and monitoring requirements including, but not limited to system, program, donor, and operational levels.
  • Partner with executives and leaders provide insights from data analytics and socialize/optimize forecasting models.
  • Deliver predictive multi-year forecast models by organization or by needed skills/capabilities.
  • Develop meaningful performance measures and reporting mechanisms to facilitate effective decision support.
  • Provide timely and transparent intelligence that supports the business in making informed decisions.
  • Prepare recommendations and present them to senior management.
  • Work with quality and system leadership to develop and execute the system and Center quality strategy.
  • Develop quality measures and processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Generate and utilize performance data and analysis to propose improvements, generating cost efficiencies and enable a culture of thoughtful planning and clear communication.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary teams to evaluate processes and systems, generate alternatives and make recommendations to reduce waste, increase utilization, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction, and produce improved clinical outcomes.
  • Effectively communicates team recommendations.
  • Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analyses to identify and eliminate or minimize points of risks through process redesign.
  • Collaborate with appropriate physicians and staff to obtain, document, and validate information related to assigned projects.
  • Develop quality and service metrics to assess the overall success of improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate and implement new initiatives that assist in the achievement of system goals.
