About The Position

Join our Global Mobility Tax Practice as a Manager, Private Client and Global Mobility Expatriate Tax in Chicago, IL. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience Private Client / Global Mobility Expatriate Tax with a national or regional accounting firm or boutique firm focused on expatriate tax matters.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is generally required; J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university is preferred.
  • Strong planning, research, writing and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or similar certification, or currently working to obtain a CPA license, preferred but not required.
  • German language skills are preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry, preferred but not required.
  • ProSystem fx Engagement.
  • CCH Axcess.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the review and completion of individual tax returns, equalization calculations, and miscellaneous tax forms for inbound expatriate employees and foreign investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist with the review and completion of individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals with offshore investments and holdings.
  • Assist in U.S. payroll reporting and withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements.
  • Assist with U.S. tax identification numbers for taxpayers, spouses, and dependents.
  • Provide support to senior team members as they advise clients in various industries on domestic and international tax matters.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates and interns.
