About The Position

The Manager, Practice Strategy & Innovation & Business Strategies drives operational excellence for the AMCP Practice Strategy and Innovation and Business Strategies revenue channels. This role maximizes outreach and sponsorship procurement to achieve financial goals and supports new revenue streams through meticulous project execution and departmental coordination.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and five to eight years of relevant experience directly working in a managed care setting, including a health plan, PBM, or pharmaceutical industry, is preferred. General understanding of managed care and the broader healthcare landscape is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project and program management.
  • Proficient with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentations software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc.). Proficiency in CRM and Salesforce administration, reporting, and analytics.
  • Strong attention to detail, with well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience supporting revenue operations and sponsorship management activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence through effective process design and improvement.
  • Experience with financial and contract administration, including tracking and compliance support.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflow optimization tools and approaches.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating marketing-related activities and initiatives.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and program evaluation to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing an organizational culture focused on collaboration, high performance, accountability, respect, and trust.

Responsibilities

  • Determine ways for AI to drive efficiencies across all PSI and Business Strategies activities and offerings.
  • Track actuals against budgeted goals and provide weekly reports on sales leads and pipeline health for all revenue streams.
  • Support proposal development and contract negotiations with outside partners and clients, including but not limited to request letters, sponsorship agreements, statements of work, and independent contractor contracts.
  • Facilitate sponsorship agreement processing, invoicing, and grant request tracking within the CRM and association management system.
  • Manage financial reconciliation, invoice coding, and the final close-out process for all innovation programs and service contracts.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure departmental efficiency for Practice Strategy and Innovation and Business Strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure Practice Strategy and Innovation and Business Strategies website content remains current and accurate.
  • Serve as the primary departmental point of contact for Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and alignment with sales objectives.
  • Partner with the Salesforce Administrator to customize and optimize the platform based on evolving business needs and operational workflows.
  • Audit and refine Salesforce processes to improve lead tracking, pipeline visibility, and reporting accuracy for the team.
  • Lead end-to-end management of complex product offerings and innovation initiatives, including but not limited to Market Insights offerings and Thought leadership initiatives.
  • Develop project timelines and lead cross-departmental collaboration for business development initiatives.
  • Oversee contractors, external vendors, and consultants to ensure timely high-quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including pre-meeting, onsite, and virtual, for faculty, subject matter experts, and attendees.
  • Execute post-program evaluations through survey development and data analysis to measure the impact of practice initiatives.
  • Act as a primary liaison between Membership, Meetings, Marketing, and Education departments.
  • Work directly with Marketing to drive annual promotional tactics to support Business Strategies revenue goals and new program launches.
  • Manage scheduling and meeting logistics to ensure seamless cross-functional department follow-through.
  • Synchronize efforts on member engagement, partnership opportunities, and sponsorship outreach with other internal departments.
