About The Position

The Consulting Practice Manager supports the day‑to-day internal operations of the firm’s Industry Groups to drive growth and execute strategic priorities. Reporting directly to the Industry Group Strategic Execution Leader, this role collaborates extensively with Enterprise Solutions & Operations (ESO) to support business needs, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the practice, business line, and Industry Groups. All qualified internal candidates will be considered for this position, irrespective of their current geographic location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 4–8 years of operational support experience, preferably with at least 2 years in professional services.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, problem‑solving, project management, and change management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong collaboration abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while driving completion of key deliverables.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Ability to build relationships across the organization to influence strategy and change.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Self‑starter with strong initiative; able to work independently.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Power BI.
  • Ability to work 45+ hours per week as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Financial & Operational Support
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Review monthly KPIs with PML, Team Leaders, and Finance; coordinate follow‑up actions as needed.
  • Develop revenue and forecasting models to support monthly planning and reporting.
  • Provide business insights based on revenue trends.
  • Monitor chargeable hours, utilization, overtime, and travel.
  • Oversee Project Quality Management, including monitoring Accounts Receivable (AR), Work in Process (WIP), and compliance with engagement letters, MSAs, and Terms & Conditions.
  • Support expense management for employees, subcontractors, vendors, software, and subscriptions.
  • Address financial and operational outliers or trends and assist in resolving issues impacting business growth.
  • Assist with implementing new processes, technologies, reporting tools, and special projects.
  • Business Development Support
  • Oversee Salesforce (CRM) opportunity pipeline guidelines, training, and support.
  • Review sales pipeline reports to support forecasting.
  • Serve as liaison to Marketing and Growth Strategies teams.
  • Manage business alliance membership renewals and fee processing.
  • Prepare periodic reports and presentations on key business development metrics.
  • Resource, Talent Management & Staffing
  • Partner with Resource Managers, Partners, and Project Managers to ensure appropriate engagement staffing.
  • Develop understanding of team skills, experience, and career goals to align staff with client needs.
  • Collaborate with Resource Management to maintain accurate system and skills database records.
  • Support Resource Management and Talent Management on staffing considerations or performance‑related matters.
  • Review pipeline reports to identify staffing constraints or future resource needs.
  • Recruiting, Onboarding & Training
  • Liaise with Resource Management, Talent Management, Learning, and People Solutions.
  • Identify recruiting priorities based on business strategy, pipeline, headcount, skills, levels, and locations.
  • Support and execute onboarding for both experienced and campus hires.
  • Coordinate Continuing Professional Education (CPE) training activities for team members.
  • Internal Projects & Initiatives
  • Coordinate execution of business plan initiatives tied to operational oversight.
  • Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings and events.
  • Create and edit presentations with clear messaging that aligns with business strategy.
  • Serve as liaison to internal support teams (People Solutions, Enterprise Technology, Legal, Finance, etc.).
  • Participate in Consulting and firmwide initiatives focused on systems and process improvements that support growth.
