The Manager of Power Generation and IT Telecom GIS is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the integration, performance, and enhancement of the Power Generation and IT Telecom GIS supporting both Distribution, Transmission and Substations. This role combines deep technical expertise with cross-functional leadership to ensure continuity, innovation, and operational excellence across both functional areas. The manager will lead a team and will serve as a key liaison from the Elevate Program to the Power Generation and IT Telecom Functional Areas at PG&E. The manager will also be responsible for effectively partnering with the Propel Program within the scope of Power Generation and IT Telecom domains Oversees the governance, management, and delivery of PG&E’s Power Generation and IT Telecom GIS systems and data. Directs teams in a collaborative environment responsible for data governance, ownership, management, and stewardship, ensuring consistent standards, quality assurance, and alignment with the businesses asset management objectives. Provides leadership in defining and enforcing governance policies, overseeing Power Generation and IT Telecom GIS data work, and coordinating subject matter expert (SME) contributions across specialized domains. Accountable for aligning operational processes with organizational priorities, reducing duplication of effort, minimizing risk, and strengthening PG&E’s ability to leverage geospatial data for reporting, analytics, decision-making and to deliver transformational opportunities within each applicable functional area, including but not limited to: enhanced hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, shared structure management, and improved SCADA relationship modeling. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland office approximately 2 - 3 days per week, or more, based on business needs.
