About The Position

The Manager, Portfolio Marketing PMO serves as a strategic execution partner to Marketing Leadership, responsible for driving high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that advance Vertiv’s growth, portfolio strategy, and go‑to‑market excellence. This role leads complex, multi-stakeholder programs—from enterprise-level transformations to global marketing initiatives, and cross-BU, solutions-level efforts. This leader brings structure, clarity, and momentum to large, multi-stakeholder initiatives—especially those that require cross-BU coordination, executive visibility, disciplined program design, and thoughtful change management. They ensure strategic priorities move from concept to execution with speed, alignment, and measurable impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, Communications, or related field
  • 7–10 years of experience in strategic program management, PMO, transformation leadership, or cross-functional marketing roles
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex, enterprise-level initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to bring structure to ambiguity
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including working with senior leaders
  • Strong communication skills with ability to synthesize complexity into clear narratives
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to pick up technical concepts quickly.
  • Enthusiastic and persistent problem solver.
  • Excellent organizational skills and process-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact, multi-workstream programs that enable enterprise priorities, portfolio strategy shifts, and large-scale marketing initiatives.
  • Own the planning, orchestration, and delivery of complex cross-functional projects where scope may be ambiguous and requires strategic problem solving.
  • Bring program structure, decision clarity, and disciplined follow-through to initiatives with significant strategic or organizational implications.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment, communication, and visibility for effective execution.
  • Facilitate decision-making, anticipate risks, navigate trade-offs, and maintain momentum across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Connect workstreams into a coherent, integrated program narrative and delivery plan.
  • Translate marketing and enterprise strategy into program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Build and maintain integrated timelines, accountability structures, and communication cadences.
  • Provide senior leadership with clear, concise updates on program health, decisions required, risks, and progress.
  • Develop executive-ready communications, briefing materials, and governance artifacts.
  • Establish adaptable governance models tailored to each strategic initiative, ensuring the right level of control without unnecessary complexity.
  • Ensure initiative owners and contributors maintain alignment to timelines, commitments, and outcomes.
  • Define program KPIs and build dashboards that track progress against strategic goals, quality benchmarks, and adoption.
  • Lead retrospectives to identify improvements that enhance future program execution.
  • Lead externally supported workstreams to ensure delivery excellence and alignment to scope, quality, and timeline expectations.
