About The Position

This role provides a unique opportunity to oversee and optimize post-closing loan portfolio management while driving meaningful impact in the communities served. The Manager, Portfolio Management will lead the monitoring and analysis of diverse commercial loan portfolios, identifying trends, assessing risk, and supporting borrowers to ensure financial performance and compliance. The position requires strong analytical skills, relationship management, and the ability to influence outcomes through actionable insights. The role balances hands-on portfolio oversight with strategic reporting, risk mitigation, and collaboration across internal stakeholders. Candidates will engage directly with borrowers, provide financial guidance, and support loan workout and compliance processes. This position is fully remote within the U.S., with occasional travel and a preference for proximity to one of several office locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in portfolio or asset management with expertise in financial analysis.
  • Formal commercial credit training from a recognized institution.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial statements, tax returns, and legal documents.
  • Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Experience synthesizing data and presenting clear, actionable insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across geographies and time zones.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze assigned loan portfolios, including payment performance, financial ratios, and emerging risks.
  • Prepare quarterly impairment analyses and annual portfolio reviews to communicate trends and performance insights to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary post-closing relationship manager for borrowers, providing guidance, support, and responsive customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants, collecting financial statements, testing compliance, and managing borrower follow-ups.
  • Develop and support loan workout plans and recommend solutions for issues, coordinating with senior leadership and legal teams as necessary.
  • Analyze portfolio data to provide actionable insights for risk mitigation and improved lending outcomes.
  • Attend meetings, contribute to ongoing projects, and adjust responsibilities as organizational priorities evolve.
