About The Position
The Manager of Podcast Operations at ABC News is a pivotal role within ABC Audio, tasked with driving the growth and expansion of the company's award-winning podcast portfolio. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional who is passionate about the podcast industry's impact and its potential for growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Podcast Programming to develop and execute strategic plans and engagement strategies for new show and season launches, as well as special programming across various content verticals, including True Crime, News & Politics, History, and Documentary storytelling. In this role, the Manager will coordinate and execute feed drops, promotional swaps, and co-marketing initiatives with both internal and external partners, including third-party publishers. The position also involves contributing to the creation of key visual assets, audio/video promos, digital and social media content, event materials, event signage, giveaways, and other creative resources. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of content through detailed analysis and reporting is a critical aspect of the job, ensuring that the podcast offerings are meeting audience expectations and driving engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of on-demand audio. They will be adept at managing content and maximizing audience reach while collaborating effectively with marketing and sales teams. This role is essential for ensuring that ABC Audio continues to thrive in the competitive podcast landscape.
