About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing Platform Engineering team responsible for the infrastructure backbone that supports product development, engineering, and security operations. You will drive platform strategy, operational excellence, and developer efficiency across cloud-native, hybrid, and air-gapped environments. The position combines people leadership with technical ownership, including mentoring engineers, defining Infrastructure as Code standards, and ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable platform services. Working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Cybersecurity teams, you will influence architecture, establish operational metrics, and continuously improve platform performance. The ideal candidate thrives in high-stakes, fast-moving environments, balancing tactical execution with long-term platform strategy.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles, with 2+ years managing engineers
• Strong technical expertise with Kubernetes, AWS or multi-cloud environments, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), and building platform services
• Knowledge of hybrid and air-gapped environments, including compliance, secure operations, and connectivity challenges
• Proven ability to translate high-level requirements into actionable plans while collaborating across cross-functional teams
• Experience setting and governing operational metrics, SLOs, and platform delivery measures
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical direction across engineers and stakeholders in multiple time zones

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Platform Engineers, providing direction, removing blockers, and fostering ownership of core platform infrastructure and tooling
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure platform services support secure, high-velocity delivery
• Define and enforce standards for Infrastructure as Code, GitOps workflows, service onboarding, and platform releases
• Oversee platform reliability, observability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and developer experience
• Manage operational processes including incident response, post-mortems, runbooks, and continuous improvement of platform operations
• Influence architectural decisions to ensure platform alignment with organizational goals and mission-critical requirements
