Manager, Platform Engineering

Zus Health
$190,000 - $235,000Hybrid

About The Position

Zus is a shared health data platform designed to accelerate healthcare data interoperability by providing easy-to-use patient data via API, embedded components, and direct EHR integrations. Founded in 2021 by Jonathan Bush, co-founder and former CEO of athenahealth, Zus partners with HIEs and other data networks to aggregate patient clinical history and then translates that history into user-friendly information at the point of care. Zus's mission is to catalyze healthcare's greatest inventors by maximizing the value of patient insights - so that they can build up, not around. We are seeking an experienced leader to lead and expand one of our Platform teams. The Platform team is at the heart of everything at Zus and is responsible for our core data services, including our FHIR data store, Data marts, our Master Patient Index and Authentication and Authorization. Our work includes building new features to these core systems to support our customers’ and our own applications’ needs along with continually refinding these systems to support the increasing volume of data as we grow. The ideal candidate will be excited to take on the challenge of processing, storing and delivering the entire health records of millions of patients, providing low latency and high-availability for all operations. You are creative, innovative and love to run experiments to explore the paths to evolve and develop our platform as we scale. This is an exciting time to join Zus as we are growing and transforming both the team and our infrastructure to evolve to address the greater scale of data we expect as we grow. Your team will work on data services that operate on large scale data using a variety of AWS services (ECS Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Postgres, S3, etc) that are used both internally and externally. Go is our language of choice and we use Terraform for managing our infrastructure-as-code. The team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and operating its services.
