Investigations & Threat Assessment Lead and oversee physical security investigations related to external physical security threats, incidents, suspicious activity, and concerning behaviors impacting Vanguard facilities, crew, and operations. Apply advanced open‑source investigative techniques and behavioral threat assessment to assess credibility, intent, capability, and proximity of potential risks to corporate operations. Produce high‑quality investigative assessments that synthesize open‑source and contextual information into objective, actionable findings. Distinguish between noise, concern, and credible risk, providing clear recommendations for mitigation, escalation, or monitoring. Partner with site security, corporate security operations, Crew Relations, Legal, Compliance, and external stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement, vendors) as appropriate. As needed, support investigations related to internal physical security threats in close cooperation with Crew Relations, Legal, and other relevant internal stakeholders Ensure investigations are conducted consistently, ethically, and in compliance with legal and privacy requirements across worldwide jurisdictions. Employee Pre‑Screening & Due Diligence Oversee employee prescreening and related due diligence programs, ensuring alignment with organizational risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and internal policy. Provide investigative judgment and escalation guidance for complex, sensitive, or ambiguous screening results. Drive continuous improvement of screening processes, tools, and quality assurance. Program Management & Innovation Identify and implement opportunities to modernize investigative methodologies through technology, data analytics, and enhanced OSINT tradecraft. Collaborate with physical security governance functions in developing standards, playbooks, policy, and training to improve investigative consistency, quality, and scalability across regions. Monitor emerging threats, threat vectors, and industry best practices to inform program evolution and strategic planning. People Leadership & Collaboration Lead, coach, and develop a team of investigators and analysts, fostering a culture of critical thinking, professionalism, accountability, and continuous learning. Set clear expectations, provide regular performance feedback, and support career development within the investigative function. Serve as a trusted advisor to security leadership and internal partners, communicating sensitive investigative matters in a clear, balanced, and business‑relevant manner.
