About The Position

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot, when necessary, thorough, and able to juggle multiple and varied responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail. They will work with studio departments and other senior production staff to ensure that all production offices are running smoothly. This role directly supports the work of the lead/point production executive on specific films.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in production, in the field, at a major studio, or on a network level for scripted series
  • Extensive working knowledge of film production and the production office.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment simultaneously supervising several projects in various points of production (from development through delivery)
  • Familiar with the current trends and workflows within the industry
  • Ability to respond after-hours for important, timely or urgent matters
  • Team-player who operates in a fast-paced team-oriented setting
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
  • Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Scenechronize, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Mail
  • Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production process and gear
  • Adept at anticipating potential issues, identifying problems, recommending and implementing solutions

  • Proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting & Scheduling preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Blumhouse and production supervisors and production coordinators. Oversee the production office and handle day-to-day inquiries.
  • Monitor daily production documentation to ensure accuracy and that it aligns with delivery standards and requirements.
  • Vet production documents prior to distribution (e.g., cast list, crew list, call sheets, etc).
  • Lead production onboarding, delivery training, and wrap calls. Ensure legal and clearance calls take place with the appropriate studio and production individuals.
  • Address internal requests regarding crew hires, code names, start dates, locations, script revisions and all production related documentation.
  • Track Smartsheet from Studio Partners, flagging outstanding materials across production, finance, legal, and post-production.
  • Track delivery of production-related documents based on BH and Distributer Requirements
  • Work closely with on-the-ground production teams to ensure at wrap, all assets are delivered. Manage the wrap process for all BH feature films and maintain supervision of the BH warehouse.
  • Keep track of all assets for potential reshoots, additional photographer, or VFX shoots, and/or marketing requests.
  • Complete insurance applications prior to binding insurance.
  • Serve as the Hub Administrator for Scenechronize, acting as the primary contact for Blumhouse, Production Offices, and Distributors.
  • Manage the submission and issuance of US Visas directly with Immigration Counsel for high-level crew, ATL personnel, and Post Production.
  • When required, assist with International Visas/Work Permits, in conjunction with BH Legal.
  • Monitor required Guild Reporting
  • Complete production related documents for the Guild Signatory process, in conjunction with BH Legal
  • Assist in managing costs and production plans for Additional Photography and VFX Shoots
  • Assist in sourcing crew for Additional Photography and VFX Shoots.
  • Create plans and rough budgets for clearing out asset storage, hiring labor, shipping, receiving, etc.
  • Work with Distributer Archival Departments and Internal BH Departments to manage assets
  • Work with BH Production Dept. to update Studio Distribution Grid and various Production Start-Up Documents
  • Train Production Teams on the use of Scenechronize distribution and delivery (if applicable) for each Production
  • In collaboration with inter-departmental production teams, develop and update BH Physical Production “Production Manual” and refine evolving film production guidelines to deliver to the production(s) and ensure guidelines are followed.
