The Manager, Phase 1 will oversee and lead the day-to-day course delivery of the Phase 1 curriculum. The Phase 1 Manager will collaborate with the Phase 1 Director and lead individual course coordinators to implement, promote, and enhance the quality of the student educational experience throughout Phase 1. This is a hybrid position for the Office of Medical Education overseeing 3 people!Schedule is Monday - Friday (variable schedule) typically 7am - 3pm. Some off schedule work required

Requirements

  • Bachelor`s degree in Education, Public Health or related.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in relevant areas such as operations, team management, goal setting and monitoring, and/or curriculum.
  • Microsoft Office suite skills essential.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in establishing new programs from the ground up or other endeavor requiring adaptability.
  • Familiarity with learning management and student assessment systems.
  • Proficient with database management software and creating reports.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational and planning, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, administration, and organizational skills.
  • Vision oriented self-starter with a big picture growth mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise team of course coordinators throughout Phase 1 ensuring continuity, operational efficiency and overall leadership of the daily operations of this phase of the SOM curriculum.
  • Provide administrative leadership and support to Course Directors, faculty, staff, and students with needs related to course delivery, including communication, distribution of course materials, and interfacing with the School of Medicine`s Learning and Curricular Management systems.
  • Ensure implementation, adherence, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures related to Phase 1, including those regarding safety and operations.
  • Meet on a regular basis with Phase 1 coordinators as well as the Phase 1 director to address common needs and share best practices.
  • Participate in SOM related activities, including serving on curriculum operations and other committees, participating in the SOM`s Curriculum Management Plan, and participation in accreditation-related activities.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of reports and records for course directors, SOM leadership, and curricular committees.
  • Assist in scheduling special events as related to the Phase 1 curriculum and set up and maintain various electronic data systems for the Phase 1 courses.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
