About The Position

Manager, Pharmacy Technician Inventory - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy Onsite: This role requires associates to work from the posted locations full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. The Manager, Pharmacy Technician Inventory - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is responsible for managing the inventory pharmacy technicians. Oversees the entering and processing of pharmacy overrides into the system based on approved guidelines and approvals from Clinical Pharmacists. Manages relationship with 3rd party vendors and procurement teams. Responsible for quality management of the inventory team including receiving, shipping, outdates, and recalls. How you will make an impact: Responds to calls from physicians, pharmacies and members on a timely basis. Enters overrides into the system. Follows guidelines to make decisions on approvals and/or denials on drug products that are not in formulary plans. Performs special projects. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacy operations, managed care, hospitals and/or retail environments and lead or management experience within a Pharmacy Services call center and experience processing prior authorizations and coverage determinations and experience in appeals/grievances; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Current State Pharmacy Tech required.
  • Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in a related field.
  • CPhT National Certification.
  • 3-5 of experience with inventory management processes.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role within a community, hospital or mail order pharmacy.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
