About The Position

Manages and directs the implementation and actively leads in accomplishing the pharmacy service's scope of practice. Coordinates the continuous improvement and advancement of inpatient pharmacy services. In conjunction with the BMH Director of Pharmacy, leads the planning, developing, implementing and monitoring of all inpatient pharmacy functions to ensure optimal outcomes by the use of integrated clinical, informational, and drug distribution systems.

Requirements

• 3 years as a Pharmacist
• Pharm D from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Proficiency in operational pharmacy practice as acquired through at least 3 years of pharmacy experience as a pharmacist.
• Licensed as required in state of operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages the medication use process of the inpatient pharmacy.
• Manages and implements pharmacy service's administrative responsibilities to ensure productive and effective service programs.
• Manages resources in collaboration with the pharmacy services administrative personnel.
• Manages the integration of appropriate clinical and operational services.
• Ensures the implementation of the health system and department's performance improvement plan.
• Manages and monitors appropriate use of resources in accordance with capital and operational budget initiatives in an integrated health system.
• Promotes and adheres to our service first philosophy for customer service.
• Effectively manages one's own practice and self-development.
• Supervises Pharmacists – Clinical Staff and/or technicians in the pharmacy and oversees their day-to-day activities.
