About The Position

The position is responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy department at the Nampa Medical Center. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required.
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Three years of hospital experience required.
• Experience with physical and market share growth of an inpatient pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy department at the Nampa Medical Center.
• Prepare pharmaceutical products for patients' use using safe and cost-effective methods.
• Participate in departmental duties including material resource management, clerical, financial, and safety issues.
• Cover core pharmacist shifts when required.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in conjunction with the Supervisor.
• Coordinate technician, pharmacy intern, and pharmacist orientation and training programs.
• Process personnel paperwork required by Human Resources.
• Manage human resources by overseeing staffing schedules and corrective actions as necessary.
• Assist in achieving compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Maintain changes to the formulary and communicate appropriately.
