The Manager of Pharmacy Analytics will help to guide the reporting and analytics work for our chain of over 1700 retail pharmacy locations. In this role you will be a key player in decision making across the Pharmacy organization, supplying reporting around all initiatives, and guiding a team of dedicated analysts. You will gain hands on experience in expanding our suite of business intelligence products, and split time between developing the team and completing advanced analytics work. The role will allow you to work closely with Product, Operations, Centralized Services, and more to shape a cohesive narrative around the ins and outs of our Pharmacy business. This is a dynamic role that requires collaboration with external groups to clarify and shape requirements. Successful candidates will be comfortable working with ambiguity to distill simple insights from complex data and can work independently to drive decisions forward with key stakeholders. Leadership is a key component of the role, both setting trends in organization and analytical ability as well as guiding a team through a complex and ever-changing roadmap. Requirements

  • Advanced skills in SQL and Microsoft Power BI (or similar data-vis software).
  • Flexible self-starter and team player who works well in various situations (from well-defined to unstructured) and proactively identifies business improvement areas.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functionally with stakeholders across multiple different teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. Thrives in ambiguous work environments with an ability to bring structure and process, identify opportunities for improvement, define goals and outcomes, drive action, and achieve results.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to submit error-free deliverables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Thinks strategically with an ability to execute.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred (computer science, business, finance) but other disciplines or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and business recommendations based on data findings.
  • 3+ years of experience in Pharmacy or Healthcare industry.
  • Experience and advanced experience with Data Visualization tools required (Power BI, Tableau, or a similar tools).
  • Expertise in SQL is required.
  • Experience using JIRA for project management, or similar tool for backlog management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications for ad hoc reporting and presentations, with advanced Excel for analytics knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with previous management experience are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analysis – gather, clean, and normalize data from disparate sources into workable data models using various tools.
  • Advanced SQL- Use SQL to source insights from derived datasets, not from simple aggregation, and work using efficient coding practices for a Big Data environment.
  • Develop requirements alongside business partners with an eye for establishing synergies with existing items from the analytics roadmap.
  • Synthesize learnings and insights- Develop and maintain presentation materials to share learnings with cross functional partners and leaders along with a recommendation on how to iterate and tweak programs for improved performance.
  • Lead analyses that involve complex analytics to solve a variety of business issues that may have cross-functional impact.
  • Help the immediate team broaden and develop both technically and professionally as a people leader.
  • Be curious. Work with the team to ideate and scope new ways of working to streamline efficiencies.
