About The Position

The position involves providing technical and methodological design consultation, database development, data management, statistical analysis, and results interpretation/reporting for various internal and external projects. This includes work on the University Health Medication Assistance Program (MAP) and the 340B Drug Discount Program (340B Program) auditing and program compliance. The role requires the utilization of mainframe databases to identify appropriate study populations, manage data, plan analysis, and conduct statistical analysis of data collected from various sources, including patient surveys and claims data. Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of data integration between the MAP and Pharmacy Department databases is crucial, as is managing internal audits for the 340B program. Additionally, the position involves developing complex reports from large relational databases and preparing policy statements and recommendations to assist University Health in improving the quality of patient services. The role also includes maintaining the Cost Accounting System for MAP and reporting cumulative expenditures and savings generated by the assistance program.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in business or a related field is required.
  • Related pharmacy and/or healthcare billing experience is required.
  • Five years' experience in a medical or pharmacology related field is preferred.
  • Experience in project coordination, database/spreadsheet development and management, and/or application programming is preferred.
  • Experience in processing and overseeing medical insurance billing and reimbursement cost capture is preferred.
  • Demonstrated appropriate independent judgment.
