About The Position

100% FTE, Monday – Friday with support when needed to cover 24/7 department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with demonstrated leadership and management skills to: Direct, plan, implement and evaluate patient care programs for the perioperative patient population. Lead daily operations and coordination of patient care services focusing on anesthesia services. Direct and evaluate the department’s workforce in terms of overall staffing and scheduling, adjusting to changes in care requirements, patient census and staffing resources. Prepare and/or participate in preparation of operating budgets. Establish quality improvement efforts to support the delivery of patient and family-focused care. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).
  • Wisconsin RN license.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience and progressive nursing leadership experience with demonstrated success.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience and progressive nursing leadership experience with demonstrated success.
  • Prior surgical services experience and/or experience working in an academic medical center or complex healthcare system.
