Trusted by top litigation lawyers, our platform has supported over $1 billion in settlements, even in courtrooms. We’re looking for our first People Operations Manager to help us scale. This is a unique opportunity to design, optimize, and own the employee experience at a high-growth AI legaltech startup. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you’ll be at the heart of building a world-class workplace—driving programs that attract top talent, foster growth, and create a culture where people thrive. This role is 5 days a week onsite from our downtown Seattle office.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR/People Ops experience (2+ in high-growth SaaS or tech).
  • Proven ability to scale people operations in companies of 50–500+ employees.
  • Skilled with modern HRIS platforms (AI-enabled a plus) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, immigration, and compliance.
  • Balance of tactical execution and strategic vision, thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent relationship builder, collaborator, and communicator.
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification.
  • Interest in AI and legaltech.

Responsibilities

  • Manage interview scheduling and logistics, ensuring a smooth and professional process for candidates and interviewers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, delivering timely communication and an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to provide proactive updates and support throughout the hiring process.
  • Attend intake/kickoff meetings for new roles and advise on scheduling strategies.
  • Track and report on scheduling metrics, sharing insights with the People team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline recruiting operations.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects that support the People & Recruiting team.
  • Support the development and scaling of people processes that are efficient, compliant, and employee-friendly.
  • Ensure proper completion of I-9 verification, background checks, and employment documentation.
  • Implement clear documentation standards and automated workflows.
  • Deliver a world-class onboarding process that accelerates ramp-up and cultural integration.
  • Create smooth, feedback-driven offboarding experiences and alumni engagement programs.
  • Optimize every stage of the employee lifecycle.
  • Oversee immigration-related processes with external counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain audit-ready processes and documentation.
  • Coordinate employee benefit programs to ensure accurate administration and support Open Enrollment for employees’ health, financial security, and well-being.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Execute recognition programs that reinforce company values.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS data integrity.
  • Assist with preparation for audits and government reporting requirements.
