About The Position

The Manager, People & Organization at Chanel is responsible for executing core Human Resources processes within Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. This role serves as a key business partner to the Boutique Leadership Team (BLT), focusing on leadership development, employee engagement, talent management, and performance management. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on and strategic responsibilities, leveraging their experience to foster an inclusive culture and drive organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of core HR (HR Generalist) experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Prior HR experience within a Retail/Wholesale environment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgment.
  • Experience in employee relations.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort with HRIS systems (such as Workday) and performing basic analysis in Excel.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of core Human Resources processes within Saks Fifth Avenue.
  • Identify opportunities for specific people strategies.
  • Partner with the Boutique Leadership Team to build leadership skills and drive performance.
  • Conduct employee engagement initiatives, including 1:1 check-ins and pulse checks.
  • Support talent development and organizational structure discussions with the BLT.
  • Guide the annual compensation and performance review process for the Boutique.
  • Analyze trends to inform decision-making related to P&O priorities.
  • Manage recruitment processes, including forecasting hiring needs and leading full cycle recruitment.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with employment best practices and policies.
