About The Position

The Manager, People Analytics at WSP USA is responsible for leading the People Analytics/HRIS team, focusing on data visualization and analysis to support HR decision-making. This role involves designing and implementing data solutions that empower stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions while managing multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to translate complex HR data into actionable insights and will oversee a team of HRIS Analysts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years working with HRIS platforms, with at least 1 year in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, related field and/or the equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing data visualization solutions and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of HR data structures and business processes (e.g., HR metrics, talent acquisition, employee lifecycle data).
  • Experience in report writing and analytics.
  • Experience with Agile/scrum methodology.
  • Advanced applied knowledge of MS Power Query, MS Power Platform and/or Power BI.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities, including day-to-day administrative reporting, data extracts for vendors and support services with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in relevant field of study.
  • Certifications in HRIS systems, data analysis, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with data modeling techniques, including star schema design.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and optimize query performance.
  • Some experience using Python, R, Alteryx.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing dashboards, including People and Culture and Talent Acquisition daily reports.
  • Manage access to HRIS reports, ensuring content is limited and secure.
  • Lead the design and development of user-friendly, interactive front-end data visualizations, dashboards, and reporting tools to display HR data in a meaningful way.
  • Develop and optimize HRIS data exploration capabilities, enabling stakeholders to explore and analyze HR metrics with ease.
  • Work with HR leadership and department heads to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant metrics for reporting.
  • Ensure that data visualizations and dashboards are aligned with business goals, and are easily accessible and actionable for users across the organization.
  • Analyze large datasets and HRIS reports to provide insights into workforce trends, compensation analysis, turnover, diversity metrics, and other relevant HR functions.
  • Translate complex HR data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and HR partners.
  • Facilitate and action regular executive and global data requests inclusive of data to Finance, and Quarterly People and Culture data for Global Team.
  • Develop automated reporting tools and workflows to streamline HR data analysis.
  • Quickly respond to a variety of ad-hoc reporting requests from across the organization.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business leaders to understand reporting and data needs, and translate those needs into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Provide training and support to HR users on how to access and interpret data visualizations and reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR and business stakeholders seeking insights from HR data.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of HRIS Analysts, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee the team's day-to-day operations, prioritizing tasks, managing workloads, and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on high-quality data-driven solutions.
  • Continuously assess and improve HRIS data visualization solutions and processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and increased efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data visualization, HRIS systems, and business intelligence tools.
