The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day payroll for our U.S. operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with federal and state regulations, and management of payroll staff. This role requires a analytic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of payroll processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Expertise in payroll software and systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and resolve any payroll-related issues.
  • Review and improve payroll procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Handle complex payroll inquiries and issues, providing solutions and recommendations.
  • Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports to management and relevant departments.
  • Oversee administration of ancillary benefit reimbursements (e.g. tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, etc.) to ensure policy compliance and timely payments.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to payroll processing and compliance.
