About The Position

As a Manager Patient Care Services, you'll create a positive and cooperative work environment where quality patient care is delivered through development of staff to their optimal clinical, personal, and professional capacity. You will facilitate and ensure a safe and caring environment for patients and staff. You'll develop processes to assist the delivery of nursing care to patients and families. The Manager of Patient Care Services will manage human, fiscal, and other resources to achieve goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of job-related experience, including one year of leadership experience.
  • You bring strong communication skills, problem-solving and analytical ability, and prioritization skills.
  • You have knowledge of the clinical skills for the unit of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe, caring environment for patients and staff.
  • Oversee nursing care delivery and evaluate clinical program effectiveness.
  • Lead unit-based and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
  • Model professional nursing standards.
  • Manage staffing, budgets, and resources to meet unit goals.
  • Hire, coach, evaluate, and support staff performance.
  • Maintain compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and support hospital objectives.
  • Promote staff growth and ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure staff competency in clinical systems and responsibilities.
  • Address personnel issues and support disciplinary processes.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration for effective patient care.
  • Maintain required credentials and specialty knowledge.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and external partners.
  • Support utilization management and departmental effectiveness.
  • Drives Results by achieving outcomes under pressure.
  • Builds strong relationships and delivers patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrates integrity and authenticity.
  • Works effectively across teams.
  • Delivers clear, audience-specific messaging.
