What you get to do: Operations Leaders are assigned segments of the Operations department functions which include Guest Arrival, Ride Operations, and Park Quality. In addition, all Park Operations Leaders will provide overall support to the Operations department and park to ensure success. As a Park Operations Manager you will: Directly responsible for leading 300+ ambassadors and directing the day-to-day operations and special events of the Busch Gardens (ride operations , park quality, parking, tolls, ticketing, guest relations) teams Oversee compliance with budget and reconciliation for revenue, labor and expenses; deliver revenue and EBITDA growth Oversee and manage operational areas as assigned; these may include: Guest Arrival, Park Quality, Attractions, Special Events at Busch Gardens Create and maintain a safe and secure environment for ambassadors, guests as well as safeguard company assets Ensure compliance with all SEA protocols, procedures, standards and regulations Monitor processes and procedures and initiate process improvements Hold ambassadors and leadership accountable for guest service / engagement standards, policy and procedural exceptions, guest service metrics, and other performance measures Oversee employee training resulting in a professional workforce and a safe work environment Mentor and develop the team in the interest of preparing them for both daily operation and advancement Communicate all relevant information to ambassadors, supervisors and all levels of leadership as appropriate through written and verbal methods Provide area the tools and resources to accomplish their daily tasks Attend meetings and participate as Park Manager on Duty for opening and closing shifts Assist Senior Leaders and Park President as needed Perform other duties as assigned Subject to Career Development Change based on business need and development opportunities

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a theme park or high-volume employee and customer centered environment with demonstrated success
  • Have a valid Florida Driver's License and able to meet company driving guidelines
  • Be a self-starter, innovative thinker and able to work with a diverse group promoting teamwork
  • Possess excellent organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and meet the needs of guests, ambassadors and other departments
  • Goal oriented, highly motivated and adaptable to changing environment
  • Ability to problem solve, manage and accomplish multiple projects at one time and follow through on long/short term goals
  • Qualify for and act as Park Manager on Duty for opening and closing shifts
  • Professionally represent the park, our ambassadors and products at all times
  • Perform the following physical activities on a frequent basis; stand, walk, climb ride location stair towers, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead and reach overhead, simple grasp and fine manipulation tasks
  • Be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions, to include extreme heat
  • Position will work with cleaning chemicals and be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
  • Be able to work rotating shifts to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
