About The Position

In this role, you will oversee outsourced accounting engagements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while providing actionable insights to clients. You will lead a team of accountants, coaching them on technical accounting issues, process improvements, and client interactions. This position requires a mix of strategic thinking, operational execution, and client management skills. You will analyze financial performance, prepare budgets and forecasts, and identify opportunities to optimize operations. With a client-focused approach and a collaborative mindset, you will drive impactful outcomes while supporting the professional development of your team. Flexibility and remote work options are available, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the U.S.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; professional certifications (CPA, CMA) preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in public or private accounting, with 3+ years managing associates or teams.
• Strong proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting software (e.g., Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Business Central, Netsuite, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members, influence change, and deliver client-focused solutions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
• Ability to embrace new technologies and remote work environments.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Prepare and analyze benchmarking data, KPIs, and other performance metrics to support client decision-making.
• Present financial results and insights to clients as directed.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow modeling in alignment with client engagement terms.
• Provide technical accounting support on complex issues and recommend actionable improvements for operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting practices and reporting standards.
• Foster strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
