Manager, OT & Cloud Operations

Swire Coca ColaDraper, UT

About The Position

The Manager, OT & Cloud Operations is a working manager within the IT department responsible for leading and contributing to the delivery and ongoing support of production plant (OT) systems and networks and the Azure cloud infrastructure that enables and supports those environments. This role manages a combined team of Systems Engineers and Network Engineers and is accountable for both project execution and keep-the-lights-on (KTLO) operations. This position partners closely with Product teams to deliver business outcomes—where Product defines what needs to be delivered, and the OT & Cloud Operations team defines how it is designed, implemented, secured, and supported.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering (systems and/or networking), including meaningful exposure to production or operational environments required
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams or serving in a technical lead role with accountability for outcomes required
  • Demonstrated experience operating and supporting Azure infrastructure in a production environment (availability, monitoring, security, operations) required
  • Experience leading both project delivery and operational support in parallel required
  • Strong understanding of OT operational constraints and priorities (availability, safety, change control, coordination with plant operations)
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across teams
  • Familiarity with OT security concepts (segmentation, access controls, patch constraints, vulnerability management, audit readiness)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting environments where uptime and operational continuity are critical preferred
  • Experience implementing standard operational practices (monitoring/alerting, incident management, change windows, lifecycle management) preferred
  • Experience developing staff: coaching, mentoring, setting expectations, and building capability across a mixed team preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a combined team of Systems Engineers and Network Engineers supporting OT environments and Azure infrastructure
  • Operate as a player/coach: contribute directly to technical work while providing day-today leadership, prioritization, and guidance for the team
  • Build a culture of operational excellence: clear ownership, strong documentation, consistent execution, and reliable delivery
  • Oversee the reliability, performance, and supportability of production-related systems and plant networks
  • Drive operational standards for OT environments including monitoring, incident response, change execution, maintenance windows, and lifecycle management
  • Coordinate and execute upgrades and modernization work in production environments with a focus on minimizing operational disruption
  • Own and manage Azure infrastructure that supports production capabilities, including availability, performance, security posture, cost awareness, and operational health
  • Lead planning and execution of Azure projects, including platform improvements, migrations, and integration patterns that support production environments
  • Establish and maintain operational practices for Azure services, including monitoring/alerting, patching, identity integration, access controls, and backup/recovery patterns
  • Partner with Product teams to translate business needs into executable technical roadmaps and delivery plans
  • Collaborate across IT teams (Security, Architecture, Field Services, Service Desk, Applications, Data/Integration) to ensure work is aligned and supportable
  • Coordinate with Field Services for onsite execution, support readiness, and incident response in plant environments
  • Act as a primary point of contact for OT and Azure operational readiness: ensuring what gets delivered can be supported sustainably
  • Ensure effective ticket triage, escalation, and resolution for production-impacting issues across OT and Azure
  • Maintain and enforce high-quality documentation: runbooks, diagrams, standards, procedures, and support playbooks
  • Establish KPI/health reporting for reliability, incident trends, change success, operational risk, and technical debt reduction
  • Maintain an on-call model and escalation procedures that appropriately support production-critical environments
