About The Position

The Manager - Operations is responsible for direction and leadership of the Production Department, Raw Materials Inventory/Procurement Department, Full Goods Inventory Department, and Production Scheduling Department and influences the leadership and direction of the production support departments of Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Warehousing in an effort to make the highest quality products safely and at the lowest possible cost.What your day will look like: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws Interview, hire, and train associates Plan, assign, and direct work Appraise performance Address complaints and resolve problems Builds positive associate morale Directs each Shift Operations Manager and/or line supervisor to help identify any opportunities that will improve productivity, yields, safety, and other operational aspects Collaborates with Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to ensure maintenance goals are met Ensures through direct and collaborative efforts with the Quality Assurance Manager/Supervisor that all quality standards are maintained and no deviation from any Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) or quality processes that may compromise production Directs the efforts of the Raw Materials Inventory/Procurement, Full Goods Inventory, and Production Scheduling departments to ensure adequate supply at minimal levels and loss Ensures all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits are performed, and issues are corrected in a timely manner Lead the daily cross functional team meetings and ensure all issues or opportunities are addressed through appropriate corrective actions involving production and all supporting departments Ensures all production administrative duties are maintained and all paperwork and documentation is accurate and timely Ensures all required associate training is performed on time and documentation is maintained Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 2 to 4 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), International Standards Organization (ISO), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work with all functional team members
