Our Purpose: “We champion and empower workers who make our world work better” The Operations Manager – 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing production operations during the assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery goals are achieved at Workwear Outfitters. This role serves as a hands-on operational leader and primary point of contact during the shift and does not have direct supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
3–5 years of manufacturing or production operations experience
Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems
Ability to influence and lead without direct authority
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Basic proficiency in production systems and Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee daily production activities during the 2nd shift to meet operational targets
Monitor production flow, equipment performance, and material availability to minimize downtime
Act as the on-site production authority during the shift and escalate issues as appropriate
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other shifts to resolve operational issues
Track and communicate shift performance metrics, including output, gap time, and downtime
Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives
Provide guidance and coordination to production associates without direct reporting responsibility
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and shift handoff communication
