About The Position

The Manager of Operations at Foothill-De Anza Community College District is responsible for overseeing the daily operations related to the cleaning and maintenance of campus buildings and grounds. Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in custodial work.
  • Two years of grounds experience.
  • Two years in a management or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for building maintenance.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign tasks to custodial staff to ensure proper maintenance of buildings.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign tasks to grounds staff to maintain landscaped areas and ensure safety for athletic venues.
  • Prepare work schedules and make relief assignments as required.
  • Inspect equipment and verify work progress of custodial and grounds staff for accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Inspect buildings and grounds for health and safety standards and prepare inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety staff to comply with regulations.
  • Participate in the selection, training, and evaluation of staff; implement discipline procedures as necessary.
  • Purchase necessary supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Participate in budget preparation and administration; monitor and control expenditures.
  • Prepare necessary records and reports; maintain records of projects and activities.
  • Support and promote compliance with the District's Diversity and Equal Opportunity Plan.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safe work practices.
