About The Position

SMG Anesthesiology Department in Virginia Beach, VA is looking to hire a Manager, Operations Support. This role supports the Anesthesia Leadership Team in the management of projects and assigned areas, ensuring innovative ongoing maintenance of programs. The Manager is responsible for the management of assigned departments, maintaining processes, and coordinating all compliance activities across the division. The position also involves maintaining exceptional Provider Relationships and coordinating all activities associated with workforce management. The Manager will support 4 hospitals and will have quarterly travel to Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Hampton, and Harrisonburg. Monthly rounding with Clinical Leads Divisional POC is required, with a minimum of 5 full days per month dedicated to this task.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MHA preferred.
  • 4 years clinical operations experience in lieu of degree required.
  • 3 years’ management experience in a hospital-based clinical setting required.
  • Consideration given to Administrative Residency experience and internal interim leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Anesthesia Leadership Team in project management and assigned areas.
  • Innovate ongoing maintenance of programs.
  • Manage assigned departments and maintain processes.
  • Coordinate all compliance activities across the division.
  • Maintain exceptional Provider Relationships.
  • Coordinate all activities associated with workforce management.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
  • Create content for PMC Meetings.
  • Advocate for site level needs and Division initiatives and goals.
  • Engage in provider relationship management and issue resolution.
  • Oversee physician/CRNA recruitment processes including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage division orientation and provider record management.
  • Handle payroll compensation and CME reimbursement processing.
  • Delegate Workday data updates and compliance training.
  • Manage locums including requisition creation and submissions.
  • Oversee selection processes, contracts, and schedules.
