About the position

This position is primarily responsible for identifying opportunities for innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and implementing ideas from conception to completion that align with Red Robin's long-term, strategic goals. This role will manage operations focused systems, creating processes and optimizing products that enable the operations team to drive desired results. This role will leverage strong organization, leadership, analytical and communication skills to achieve established guest, financial and operational metrics that support the brand and enterprise growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, guest experience, and overall business performance.
  • Build and maintain deep operational expertise and knowledge of key restaurant systems, including but not limited to Aloha (POS, Backoffice, Kitchen and Handhelds), Hot Schedules, and Olo.
  • Collaborate with IT and key vendors to drive the continuous optimization and enhancement of restaurant systems.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to project teams as a restaurant systems subject matter expert.
  • Participate in the development of materials, conduct training, and support the deployment and adoption of new processes in the field.
  • Develop and optimize restaurant facing tools that simplify execution, drive growth, enhance profitability, and maximize the overall success of restaurants.
  • Partner with field leadership to understand and anticipate their business needs, translate them into technical and operational requirements, and develop solution recommendations.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials and supporting documents as appropriate.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technology products across the organization.
  • Act as a liaison between field and the Restaurant Support Center teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support Operations Leadership during strategic business planning process by gathering information required for business case development, creating new revenue streams, authoring requests for proposal, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the restaurant industry with broad experience in Front of House and/or Heart of House operations required.
  • Red Robin specific experience preferred.
  • Experience across multiple functional business areas preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and curiosity, with a high ceiling for further growth.
