About The Position

We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Manager to lead our Industrial Electrical Service department. In this role, you'll oversee safety, daily operations, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement - all while driving growth and profitability for the department. You'll lead by example, guiding teams on projects large and small, building relationships with customers, and ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction work.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading workplace safety initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with a positive, servant-leader mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer relationship skills.
  • Technical knowledge in your trade and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • High personal integrity, strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, field installations, and department safety performance.
  • Lead and develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and clear communication.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive work environment rooted in teamwork and accountability.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer standards.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Lead the department's sales efforts — continually prospect for new customers and growth opportunities.
  • Provide estimates, budgets, and proposals to help drive at least 10% annual sales growth.
  • Act quickly to resolve any customer issues or service requests, including occasional weekend or holiday work during scheduled shutdowns.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and field productivity.
  • Track and manage billing, invoicing, and cash flow to maintain positive working capital.
  • Achieve minimum productivity goals of 100% while striving for 110% through continuous improvement.
  • Mentor electricians, mechanics, apprentices, and emerging leaders.
  • Create development plans and ensure at least one team member is being trained to succeed you.
  • Participate in hiring, coaching, and performance discussions that promote growth and accountability.
