They’re made up of the best and brightest from all over the globe, and they thrive in the space where feel-good meets fast-paced.   Check out the McDonald’s  Global Technology Technical Blog to learn how technology and our global team are directly enabling the Accelerating the Arches strategy.  Department OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Manager to support the Commercial Products & Platforms (CPP) Operational Excellence team.  This team is the backbone of our CPP organization, responsible for: driving the operations arm of our CPP organization, creating strong processes to ensure our complex organization runs well, including forging strong partnerships with other critical teams such as People, Finance, Strategy & Planning and Segment functions. Ensuring our processes integrate well with the processes across global tech and McDonald’s overall Building strong communications for our sizable organization (650 people) who have a variety of roles, skills and experiences. Building strong awareness of our work externally and internally Supporting the evolution and transformation of our function by orchestrating change management activities across programs (i.e. be the center that ensures all change is orchestrated and successful across programs such as GCP (cloud), archOS, Product and Engineering Excellence, etc.) Continuing to support growth in our people through programs such as our restaurant training program, Better Together and mentorship programs in partnership with Global People.  Driving phase planning processes for our function Leading special programs as needed – for example, serve as the tech lead for workforce planning in partnership with Global People and Finance

Requirements

  • Computer Science / Engineering degree
  • 5+ years of technically focused experience
  • To be a change agent and have a strong passion for improving process
  • Program/Project management experience in a complex organization
  • Retail and Digital technology experience
  • Broad experience across the PDLC including development, deployment and support, as well as multidisciplinary expertise in financial, vendor management, communications and driving results in a global organization
  • Strong ability to partner, negotiate and influence: peers and other technology leaders, leaders from other functions, and owner/operators

Responsibilities

  • Execute strong processes to run our complex organization
  • Drive our integrated planning function to ensure that plans are timely, robust and that our team only works on products and projects that deliver value
  • Help to drive a data-driven culture across CPP – through strong financial management and governance processes
  • Support the execution of transformation across CPP through strong, integrated change management (leveraging other change management specialists and teams)
  • Lead special projects as needed (i.e., workforce strategy)
  • Execute a strong people culture through various efforts such as the Better Together, mentorship, and other training programs.
  • Help to drive the full CPP strategy across all teams
