Holman is currently accepting applications for the position of Manager- Operations Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
  • Experience using Solid Works and Auto Cad required
  • 5 years’ experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations roles
  • Demonstrated prior success as a leader of technical teams
  • Cross-functional Project Management experience
  • 2 years’ experience in a dynamic, fast paced work environment
  • Experience working with metal or steel fabrication/hydraulics/electrical strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management training or certification is a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement training is a plus
  • Experience in automotive (OEM or aftermarket) manufacturing, design, or installation is a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement work experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead interface to achieve organizational excellence and directs operations and deliverables within Engineering Department.
  • Develop and implement departmental planned short and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Utilize standard tools for solid modeling, FEA analysis, and Auto CAD design.
  • Manage multiple project life cycles effectively and efficiently.
  • Segregate and assign costs to projects.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to initiate product development, establish project priorities, schedules, and budget parameters.
  • Lead product design from design to execution.
  • Recommends methods, materials, and layouts for improvement based on manufacturing needs and capabilities.
  • Develop and leads engineering procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Provides engineering expertise in the areas of tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, and raw materials.
  • Responsible for mentorship, evaluations, conflict resolution and recognition of the staff to maintain highly motivated and engaged employees.
  • Ensure products meet regulating agency approvals and requirements.
  • Keep abreast of technological changes and developments in the field.
  • Ensure the Engineering Department meets and exceeds business goals while employing industry best practices and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of organizational commitments.
  • Participate in major customer reviews, program discussions, and technical evaluations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
