This position manages the activities of a unit with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. The manager receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. They provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies and develop procedures and processes to achieve goals. This is a 2nd shift position, M-F 3:45pm-12:15am.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience including a minimum of 2 years as a supervisor.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound reasoning and decision-making ability.
  • Experience with Oracle.
  • Distribution Center experience.
  • Transportation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the tools and resources to ensure the team is meeting cost standards.
  • Review expense statements to ensure alignment with the budget for each cost center.
  • Establish and set expectations for a collaborative work environment across multiple facilities.
  • Promote a safe working environment in collaboration with the Health & Safety team.
  • Engage with shift supervisors to ensure all KPIs are aligned and meet annual evaluation requirements.
  • Create an atmosphere for staff to excel and provide growth paths.
  • Ensure consistent performance measures across different areas and shifts.
  • Set quality standards by collaborating with sales and quality teams.
  • Contribute to the development of unit objectives and assist in formulating policies and programs.
  • Recommend budget items and control expenses.
  • Represent the unit on project teams and may lead significant projects.
  • Advise subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
  • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements.
