The Manager, On-the-Job Training will lead and support all on-the-job training initiatives within the Winston-Salem manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing the development and maintenance of all manufacturing training programs, ensuring consistency and integrity in employee training and qualification programs, and providing accurate work instructions and documentation critical for compliance with regulatory agencies.

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the On-the-Job training initiatives.
  • Develop systems to ensure consistency and integrity of employee training and qualification programs.
  • Ensure employees receive accurate and effective work instructions and documentation.
  • Manage outside training services and maintain training materials, including Alchemy training programs.
  • Assess training needs and develop solutions to improve on-the-job training programs.
  • Ensure all training activities meet relevant organizational and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support department supervisors to keep SOP training current and compliant.
  • Supervise and maintain accurate training records and monitor performance metrics.
  • Meet with management to identify training needs and skill gaps.
  • Train all shifts as needed, including weekends, and facilitate new hire training.
  • Supervise On-the-Job Trainer personnel and assess employee skill sets for training recommendations.
  • Build and utilize a visual management system to track employee skill levels.
  • Coordinate with training specialists to maintain training records and metrics.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to evaluate training program effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in delivering effective training to all levels of employees.
  • Experience and understanding of GMP, OSHA, FDA, and other manufacturing training requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Clear and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in navigating training software programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 7 years of prior training experience.
  • Prior leadership experience in a training capacity.
  • Knowledge and experience in reviewing and auditing training needs for continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in education, or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
