This job assumes responsibility for ensuring the efficient and effective operational performance of assigned areas of the Fitness Center. Responsible for working together with the Vice President, Directors, Managers and all other employees to support customer service and budgetary goals. Supervises all departments and oversees approximately 200 employees in the building during the shift. Additionally, ensures a safe environment for the Fitness Center employees and its members.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Oversees and works with all Fitness Center department managers on daily operations of clubs
  • Coordinates all deposits from each department to ensure balancing of finances and takes daily deposit to the bank
  • Properly opens and closes facility in a timely manner
  • Assists managers and directors on meeting budgetary goals for the entire organization
  • Makes rounds of entire facility every two hours and documents all information, monitors and addresses all safety issues
  • Helps management team in coordinating all special events for the Fitness Center
  • Follows all MOD and Human Resource policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.

  • Education Required - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Work Experience Required - less than 1 year general business experience, including of supervisory experience
  • Certifications Required - CPR through American Red Cross and AED Certification Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to move freely throughout and between locations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule (24/7, weekends, etc.).
