About The Position

The Manager on Duty will supervise all front-end staff and perform administrative tasks assigned by the store manager. The MOD will close the store on some nights and ensure we are ready for opening.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service and managerial skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a retail environment, preferably in customer service, with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the supermarket.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily workflow of the front-end staff.
• Lead the store in all corporate assigned programs and policies.
• Recommends discipline and termination of employees by partnering with their Store Management as needed and in accordance with policy.
• Ensures consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experiences; resolves any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.
• Assist with all closing and opening duties to ensure the store is ready for business.
• Continually trains and supports front-end staff and cash office procedures.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the front-end, bathrooms and parking lot.
• Ensures all front-end supplies and Ice are full.
• Performs other related duties as required.
