About The Position

The Manager of Withdrawal Management & Residential Services at Talbot Hall is responsible for overseeing the detox and residential services for patients experiencing substance use disorders. This role involves supervising a team of counselors and therapists, managing patient admissions, and ensuring high-quality patient care through effective leadership and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The manager will also maintain a limited caseload and provide direct behavioral health services to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Independent Ohio license to practice (LISW, LPCC, LICDC) with Supervisory Designation.
• Minimum of five years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and/or training in evidence-based psychotherapy modalities (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy).
• Prior leadership and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Detox counselors, residential staff, and peer supporters.
• Manage admissions of the residential unit, including referrals and wait lists.
• Maintain clinical coverage during staff call-offs, weekends, and holidays.
• Direct Social Workers, Clinical and Chemical Dependency counselors, and IRP Staff within service aligned teams.
• Provide behavioral health services to patients and families receiving inpatient psychiatric treatment.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure effective patient care and quality outcomes.
• Promote staff training and professional development opportunities.
• Serve as a field instructor for OSU College of Social Work MSW students.
