About The Position

The mission of the Enterprise Facility Services Trades Manager is to lead the overall direction and improvement of the department. Manages the daily operations of the Facility Services department consistent with statutory requirements and professional practice. Assures compliance with federal, state and local codes and ordinances as well as The Joint Commission (TJC) and other accreditation agencies and all other authorities having jurisdiction. Recommends personnel, facilities, and funds required to carry out maintenance programs associated with utility, life safety, and ambiance management. Plans, directs, coordinates infrastructure maintenance functions and activities, design services, and logistical support. Directs and coordinates, through direct reports, maintenance department activities and functions. Assigns or delegates responsibilities for specific work activities. Resolves problems, prepares budgets, work estimates and schedules, and sets deadlines to insure completion and reliability of operational functions and the environment of care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facility operations maintenance or construction, preferably in a health care setting, and at least 1 year of leadership experience is required.
  • Completion of an accredited 4 year trades apprenticeship or equivalent level advancement exam.
  • A licensed Journey-person in a construction trade is required.
  • Broad understanding of the methods, materials and equipment used by all trades in the construction, maintenance and remodeling of facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields from an accredited college is preferred.
  • A licensed Master in a construction trade is preferred.
