About The Position

The Manager of Technology Audit will provide leadership and coordination for the internal audit function within the company's technology environment. This role is responsible for executing the strategy for technology audits and special projects, ensuring compliance with policies and standard practices, and maintaining the integrity of information systems at Alaska Air Group (AAG). As a people leader, the Manager of Technology Audit leads and establishes priorities for the team to execute on technology.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance, or related field.
  • 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Technical proficiency in common operating systems, database management systems, and enterprise applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or plans to pursue certification.
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging risks and ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Technology Audit & Readiness Strategy: Execute the technology audit strategy and readiness assessments for major initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance with policies, and effective risk management.
  • Perform Audit & Readiness Assessments: Plan, execute, and report on technology audits and system implementation readiness reviews, including enterprise change management, project governance, training, and communications.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Partner with IT, E-Commerce, Strategy, Finance, and Operational teams to assess readiness for enterprise projects, ensuring controls, processes, and change management practices are in place.
  • Enhance Audit Capabilities: Supervise and develop audit staff to strengthen technology audit and readiness capabilities, ensuring detailed work on process and control gaps.
  • Manage Co-Source Relationships: Oversee technology audit co-source partners, including scope negotiation, contract compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Drive Organizational Change: Provide guidance on project management, change management, and communication strategies to support successful implementation of enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop Talent: Foster team growth through performance management, delegation for stretch assignments, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor Remediation: Ensure timely remediation of identified control gaps and readiness deficiencies.
  • Stay Current: Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, industry guidance, and emerging risks.
  • Influence Culture: Shape team culture through leadership presence and reinforcement of desired behaviors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with executives, external auditors, regulators, and project sponsors.
