About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator Manager to lead our systems administration and workplace services teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure while also overseeing the delivery of high-quality workplace technology services. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong leadership and operational management skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration and workplace technology support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
  • Experience managing desktop support teams and workplace technology services.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM), and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, CompTIA Server+).
  • Experience with hybrid work environments and remote support tools.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex).
  • Exposure to automation and scripting for system and endpoint management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of systems administrators responsible for server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Oversee system performance, uptime, patching, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.
  • Manage infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and vendor relationships.
  • Supervise the Workplace Services team responsible for end-user computing, device provisioning, and desktop support.
  • Ensure timely and effective support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues across the organization.
  • Oversee asset management, inventory tracking, and lifecycle planning for end-user devices.
  • Implement and maintain standards for workstation configurations, imaging, and deployment.
  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding technology setup and support.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, user experience, and support processes.
  • Work closely with IT leadership, HR, and Facilities to align workplace technology with organizational needs.
  • Support hybrid work initiatives by ensuring remote and in office technology is reliable and secure.
  • Participate in budgeting and planning for infrastructure and workplace services.
