Requirements

• Requires a 4-year mechanical engineering degree.
• Typically 16+ years' related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
• Professional registration is required.
• Must be cognizant of the capabilities and limitations of various computer software packages and structural engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and manages all structural engineering activities for the department.
• Produces structural working drawings and specifications for all projects within its own office.
• Assists other chiefs at other offices as needed.
• Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment.
