We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Safety Manager to support the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance of Cimarron’s operations. In this role, you will partner closely with field leaders, shop supervisors, and technicians to ensure safe practices, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture throughout day-to-day operations. The Safety Manager is a key resource for audits, training, incident investigations, and employee coaching. You will help translate Cimarron’s enterprise-wide safety strategy into practical, effective on-the-ground execution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree preferred in safety management, Environmental Science, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or related field)
  • 5-7+ years of relevant QHSE or safety experience, ideally in oil & gas, or industrial services.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards.
  • Experience conducting field audits, training, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • CSP/ASP or equivalent certifications
  • “Train the Trainer” certifications (Forklift, First Aid/CPR/AED, Overhead Crane, PEC Safeland, H2S, Aerial Life, Confined Space, Fall Protection, LOTO)
  • Experience with contractor safety management platforms (IS Networld, Veriforce, KPA)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Familiarity with safety software and digital compliance tools

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular field and shop safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and verify compliance with company, federal, and state safety regulations.
  • Monitor daily operations and employee work practices, ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and relevant safety policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Manage workers’ compensation/return-to-work programs, property, and auto claims from reporting through resolution.
  • Deliver OSHA, EPA, and customer-required safety and health training for field and shop personnel.
  • Track, maintain, and recertify all required employee safety training and certifications.
  • Educate employees on safe working procedures, equipment operation, and emergency protocols.
  • Inspect and verify safe operation of field and shop equipment, machinery, tools, and PPE.
  • Collaborate with operations to implement engineering and administrative controls that mitigate risk.
  • Prepare and submit safety-related reports, including incident reports and regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain accurate data, logs, and audit findings to support continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and safety ownership across teams.
  • Communicate safety expectations, updates, and trends clearly and consistently.
  • Serve as a resource and advisor to supervisors and employees on HSE matters.
  • Provide input on operational improvements to enhance safety performance.
  • Participate in customer site visits, safety walk-throughs, and operational meetings as needed.
  • Support Quality and Environmental initiatives as part of a broader QHSE framework.
