Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Rail Transportation, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of FRA, including experience with rail vehicle regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of State and local regulations and practices related to contracted operations, maintenance, and capital work.
  • 10 years' experience in a similar role with senior management experience within a Rail environment.
  • Prior experience that demonstrates accomplishments enhancing efficiency, accuracy, reliability, and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the Authority's System Safety Plan (SSP), FRA, and CPUC safety related requirements.
  • Lead and follow up on corrective actions for safety audits.
  • Lead safety committees and Emergency Response Drills.
  • Report and act on unsafe/hazardous conditions, or accident and incident reporting.
  • Design, develop and implement a comprehensive training, testing, qualification, certification, and monitoring programs that comply with federal requirements.
  • Collaborate with different teams/functions to develop annual training scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Conduct training for Alstom employees and various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure employees have the most current rules and requirements.
