Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Hospitality Management, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in training or Learning & Development, including instructional design.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative processes preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the food service industry is required.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools; experience with data analysis preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update Compass’s nutrition, wellbeing, and allergen training programs to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to incorporate best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Handle monthly tracking and invoicing for internal teams and external training certification providers.
  • Monitor training completion rates and compliance metrics through the Compass Learning System; generate regular reports for leadership and sectors.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance training engagement and effectiveness through innovative tools and methods.
  • Continuously track federal, state, and local regulatory changes related to nutrition, allergens, and safety.
  • Communicate actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of enforcement.
