About The Position

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Radiation Oncology Hiring Manager to join our Radiation Therapy team! Schedule: Full Time, 40hrs/wk. Day Shift. Per department needs. : Provides department supervision and dosimetry treatment planning for patients, provides direct daily supervision of staff Radiation Therapist's performance and the treatment delivery process to ensure timely, safe, efficient and cost effective patient care. Performs technical and supervisory duties in the Radiation Therapy department, enforcing departmental rules and regulations and ensuring that department procedures and protocols are carried out. Is a knowledge expert of characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology management of cancer and other disease processes, with special expertise in radiation therapy treatment planning. Designs treatment plans for patients by means of computer and/or manual computation to deliver a prescribed radiation dose while sparing critical structures in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Administers radiation for therapeutic purposes, treatment procedures, and provide patient support.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Dosimetry program or clinically based training, Bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy preferred.
Must be a certified Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board, and registered as ARRT with certification in radiation therapy
3-5 years experience in dosimetry and radiation therapy, supervisory experience required.
